My Coachella Style Prep, Outfits and Makeup

I can't believe Coachella 2018 has come to an end! It always goes by so quickly. This will be the first in a series of recap blog posts, so stay tuned for new content coming out! For my tips on how to prepare for Coachella check out this guide!

Keep reading to learn how I got ready for the festival before I left Seattle as well as my final outfits, makeup and accessories. I hope you are inspired by some element of my outfits, so leave me a comment below with which day was your favorite look!

Coachella Beauty Prep

The week before Coachella was filled with appointments to get all glammed up to feel my best! The must-do for me before a long festival like Coachella is lashes! Lash extensions are a great way to elevate your makeup no matter if you're lounging by the pool or in the desert heat. I visited Noir Lash Lounge in Seattle for the first time where I got a full set of extensions. I loved how they came out and paired my new top lashes with Clinique's new waterproof Clinique Fit workout mascara on my lower lashes which stays in place all day. Actually. Normally lower lash mascara transfers onto my skin in black clumps, but this mascara truly stays put for me which is a miracle. If you have a similar issue with lower lash mascara, I recommend checking it out! Together with my lash extensions and my new Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat Eyeshadow Palette for a copper eye, it was the perfect combo to bring out my blue eyes.

My other glam appointments included a partial balayage to freshen up my light blonde tone, light blue shellac mani and an airbrush spray tan. Being in the midst of Seattle Spring means that I am certainly pale so a spray tan is a must for me before heading to sunny California!

I also did some at home treatments like teeth whitening (check out my blog post all about it), in-shower hair mask and moisturizing face masks! If you'd be interested in more dedicated beauty posts let me know in the comments!

Enough of my Coachella prep, let's get into the outfits and how I styled them!

Day 1: Lace Love

I kicked off Friday with my favorite outfit! My staple item was a beautiful nude lace Majorelle dress from Revolve with a white short and bralette set under the see through lace. I saw this piece on a blogger I've been loving, Emma Leger, and knew it would be perfect for Coachella!

To style the dress, I wore white Nasty Gal booties (with Dr. Scholls inserts for comfort of course!), and my trusty round Ray Ban sunglasses that go everywhere with me.

I also splurged for a See by Chloe Olga Mini backpack in white that I found on sale and knew I would use again and again. When I tried out Rent the Runway I remember seeing some adorable See by Chloe purses and backpacks that will save you a ton of money to rent for a short time.

This look got the most love from you on Instagram and I loved responding to all of your comments!

Day 2: Black Stars

I wanted to go for a moodier look, so on Saturday I donned a black Nasty Gal maxi dress covered silver stars. Below the knees and the long sleeves were both sheer, making it the perfect maxi dress for a hot day since it still let the breeze flow. At night, I added a leather jacket for warmth, and when it got hot from the body packed crowds for Beyonce, I could easily tie up the bottom to stay cool.

For shoes, I wore the same white Nasty Gal booties but added ankle-length black fishnet socks for a grungy feel. I also swapped out my Ray Bans for cat eye black sunglasses that are quite the trend right now!

Day 3: Casual Vibes + Striped Romper

After two days of dancing and walking 35K+ miles a day, I was ready for some comfy shoes! The white booties were definitely comfortable, but I just wanted to switch it up for my third day. On Sunday, I wore a striped Tobi romper that I got last Summer and quickly paired it with my classic white low top Converse that have seen all three Coachella weekends that I've been to.

As you can tell, some of the pieces I got for this year were new, but I also repurposed a lot of items already in my closet to create new looks. Let me know in the comments if you liked Day 1, 2, or 3's outfit the best!
