Polished Plunge

For all of us ladies who dread deep Vs and to-the-waist plunging necklines, this post is for you! I typically shy away from such tops, dresses and rompers since I hate showing cleavage. An exposed shoulder or shorts is much preferred in my book over a low-cut top. I wanted to share how I style low-cut items to still look polished, making it move versatile and classic!

This navy striped romper from Tobi is perfect for a summer day and can easily transition to night. To avoid a fashion faux-pas or being too exposed, I used fashion tape to tape in a U-shape where I wanted the fabric to lay to both close up the plunge a bit and to keep it in place. You can find fashion tape at a lot of boutiques and also on Amazon for $8! It's a great purchase to have around!

Another easy way not show too much skin is to wear a cute bralette or bandeau under! Even though the bra will show through, if it matches the style of the item, it can be a polished way of layering.

Finding the right bras for these types of tops can be hard, and I've gotten a lot of my favorite tips from YouTuber Desi Perkins in her Boob Hacks video! It's worth a watch!

Overall, if you love a piece, you can find a way to tailor it to your body shape, so don't let an online image scare you off from trying out a new style! I love shopping at Tobi or other affordable and trendy that make it easy to try new pieces! This romper is one of a few new items I got, so stay tuned in my Style category for more items I'll be featuring soon!
