A Day Trip to the Washington Peninsula

Even on a cold February day, the Washington coast is absolutely gorgeous! I have a week off between jobs so have spent my days filled with pampering treatments, dinner with friends and a day trip with my mom!

We caught the Edmonds ferry to Kingston and then drove up to Port Townsend on the Northern part of the Washington peninsula. It's a quaint town with tons of cute shops and restaurants to spend a few fun hours. The town is mostly Victorian, so the beautiful homes and buildings make you feel like you're so so far from Seattle.

After a few hours walking around, we headed a few minutes away to the Point Wilson Lighthouse. It was starting to snow as we were there, so definitely cold to be outside, but it was gorgeous none the less!

The lighthouse is on a great beach, so we wandered in the sand, enjoying the crashing waves. There was beautiful grasses along the coast line, so scroll through the images to enjoy the scenery!

This quick day trip made me excited for summer time and hopefully more trips to the San Juans! Do you have a favorite Washington coastal town you love to go? Leave me a comment below, I'd love to hear!
